YOU KNOW WHAT IT IS TO BE ALONE

To get up one morning to celebrate the religious holiday with your wife and kids.

What a great feeling. . what an ecstasy ….

Who am I to  know what it is to be alone?

Being along is like a nightmare that comes along with old age,. .

You know what it is to be alone, my God..

To eat alone at a table you once shared with four or five others. . .

The forsaking of your loved ones one by one. . .

Unfortunately there are those having to celebrate the holidays  all alone. .

In a nursing home. . with their peers.

You know what it is to be alone my God..

Who am I to t know what it is to be alone?

I have never been alone!

Those of old age waiting  on a religious holiday for their children they devotedly  brought up - through toil and strife -  to come visit. .The hours pass and no one arrives. . .

There are people awaiting a soul to ring their bell, my God.. .

With hope, patience and tears in their eyes. . .

There are those for who not only have no one to wait for, but  are  also homeless and have not even a door bell to be rung, my God...

There are those who have brought up four or five children but cannot be cared  for by these four or five children, my God.

There are those who  long to see their loved ones even on a religious holiday morning.

Who am I to  know what it is to be alone?

We all return to the point or our origin. . .

Maybe one day I will know what It is to be alone.. .

Be with your loved ones. Embrace them.  Win their hearts.. .

Do not forget. . .You may be alone too.
